As a subordinate school under Donghua University, Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation (hereinafter also referred to as "SCF") is a non-profit Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational institution. SCF introduces world-class models in design education with each disciplinary programme running in partnership with renowned international institutions. In September 2014, approved by the Ministry of Education of China, SCF has launched full English teaching undergraduate progammes-Fashion Innovation and Fashion Interior Design with the cooperation between Donghua University and the University of Edinburgh. In order to meet the needs of development, SCF is now offering positions of professor and course coordinator for "Fashion Innovation" and "Fashion Interior Design".


   

I Professor of Fashion Innovation

1. Job contents      

1.1 As the leader of fashion innovation, he/she is responsible for the overall planning and construction of subject, striving to build the international first-class fashion innovation discipline;

1.2 Responsible for the faculty team construction of fashion innovation and promote the global recruitment of full-time teachers;

1.3 Responsible for managing and cultivating professional faculty team of fashion innovation and existing teachers;

1.4 Responsible for the consultation with the international cooperation colleges to make the teaching plan and syllabus of fashion innovation, and to optimize and update each semester;

1.5 Regularly organize and carry out fashion innovation research seminar, teaching inspection and course assessment;

1.6 Responsible for cross border linkage with related majors, breaking the boundaries of disciplines and completing the interdisciplinary innovative talent training;

1.7 Responsible for scientific research project organization, declaration and implementation of international and domestic fashion innovation disciplines;

1.8 Responsible for the cooperation with international and domestic enterprises to carry out scientific research project, and closely combined with the teaching of "Industry-University-Research" linkage;

1.9 Give annual guidance on graduation project, get involved in quality management of fashion innovation, and ensure the training of talents in the field of the international first-class fashion innovation;

1.10 Undertake undergraduate core course teaching with no less than 1 course per semester;

1.11 Students involved are undergraduate and postgraduate students (master/doctoral);

2. Job requirements


2.1 Capable to teach in fluent English;

2.2 Full-time job. The working period is 5 days a week. Working day is in accordance with the provisions of the time to get off work in order to provide relevant teaching guidance for the students and complete the relevant teaching and research work.

2.3 Doctoral degree in the relevant fields and title of professor or associate professor granted by other academic institute. Rich research experience in the relevant fields preferably with international teaching and professional experiences.

2.4 Relevant teaching experience in the relevant fields with proof. A draft plan for curriculum construction and teaching administration in the relevant fields may be required.





3. Skill requirements

3.1 Relevant qualifications in related disciplines, rich and successful experience in successful research and academic study with articles, books published, experience in designing and developing major scientific research and teaching programmes, rich experience in of research, teaching, management, course leading and project design.

3.2 Evaluate requirements of teaching resource and ensure the effective organization of resources.

3.3 Effective leadership of group work, help to realize the goal of teaching research. With the skills of giving teachers supervision, training and guidance, effectively manage and encourage employees. Planning and leading project and courses, ensuring to meet the requirements of the college.



4. Priority condition

Priority will be given to:

II Course Coordinator of Fashion Innovation

1. Job contents      

1.1 As the course coordinator of Fashion Innovation, he/she is responsible for daily teaching to ensure the implementation of high-quality undergraduate teaching;

1.2 Responsible for the management of Fashion Innovation faculty team, organizing course teachers of each grade in each semester according to the teaching plan;

1.3 Responsible for the consultation with the international cooperation colleges to make the teaching plan and syllabus of fashion innovation, submitting to SCF for archiving after the optimization of each semester;

1.4 Responsible for organizing fashion innovation teaching seminar, and do a good job of daily teaching, teaching documents archiving, curriculum evaluation and teaching management;

1.5 Responsible for the organization and development of students' extracurricular activities, such as graduation project, course work conference and static exhibition;

1.6 Responsible for the implementation of the professional design process and quality management to ensure the training of world-class fashion innovation talents;

1.7 Responsible for teaching research projects, awards organization, declaration and implementation;

1.8 Undertake course teaching for each semester with no less than 2 undergraduate courses;

1.9 Participate in the construction of fashion innovation faculty team, and promote the global recruitment of full-time teachers;

1.10 Responsible for cross border linkage with related majors, breaking the boundaries of disciplines and completing the interdisciplinary innovative talent training;

1.11 Students involved are undergraduate and postgraduate students (master/doctoral);

3.4 Ability to design and manage multiple teaching, learning, evaluation and research activities with managerial and organizational skills.
