Lu Canghai, director and photographer, graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from Donghua University. With years of experience in advertising photography, he has shot a wide range of commercials, earning consistent recognition from clients. He maintains long-term collaborations with various brands, including fashion labels such as ZUCZUG, ICICLE, K-BOXING, and LILY, as well as beauty brands like Estée Lauder, Lancôme, YSL, Valentino, and shu uemura, with whom he has repeatedly worked on major campaign shoots. Additionally, he has participated in numerous domestic and international competitions in the short film arena and has won multiple awards. These include: Best Cinematography for the short film The Child Afar at the Asia Microfilm Festival in 2020; the Golden Angel Award for the short film Father's Letter at the Chinese American Film Festival in 2022; and Best Editing for the short film Bright Moon Over Empty Mountain at the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Youth Short Film Season and Busan International Short Film Festival in 2023, among others.
