SCF College Alumni Association Fashion Innovation and Entrepreneurship Knowledge Sharing and Exchange Seminar Successfully Held


2025 marks the 74th anniversary of Donghua University.Under the theme of Weaving Seasons, Weaving a New Chapter Together, the university gathers strength from its alumni and renews the bonds between faculty and students.Amid this meaningful backdrop, the Shanghai International College of Fashion and Creative Innovation (SCF) Alumni Association Fashion Innovation & Entrepreneurship Knowledge Sharing and Exchange Seminar was successfully held recently. Alumni from home and abroad gathered at SCF to plan for the future.

 

Dr. Li Jun, Dean of SCF, attended the seminar, and Ms. Yuan Jiaying, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, presided over the session.



At the meeting, Luo Yi, Vice President of the Alumni Association, delivered remarks as a representative of the alumni community. 

 

Liu Lei, Grade 2017 alumnus and President of the Alumni Association, delivered a speech as an alumni representative, sharing his insights in innovation and entrepreneurship and encouraging current students to explore bravely and practice courageously.

 

Dong Ziling, an alumna of the Class of 2018, shared her valuable experience participating in New York Fashion Week, offering meaningful insights that helped broaden the international perspective of young students.Following the alumni sharing session, Li Jun, Dean of the College, delivered a concluding speech. On behalf of the college, he expressed sincere gratitude to all alumni for their care and support for the colleges development.

In his address, he offered an in-depth analysis of the ongoing transformation in the fashion industry.He pointed out that foundational technologies such as artificial intelligence are reshaping the industry in an unprecedented way,and demands for sustainable development are growing stronger, marking a paradigm shift across the entire sector.In the face of both challenges and opportunities, he defined the Alumni Association as a “community co-creating the future of the industry.”He expressed hope that the college and alumni could build a mutually empowering and collaborative model,aligning the growth of alumni with the development of their alma mater to achieve greater success together.




After the meeting, university leaders and alumni visited the Empathy Design Course Exhibition together.The conference concluded successfully in a warm and interactive atmosphere.Alumni expressed that returning to their alma mater had been a rewarding experience. They not only gained a deeper understanding of the industrys future but also felt the warmth and care of the college.

 

The conference further strengthened the emotional bond between alumni and their alma mater, gathering strong momentum for the future development of the college.
